Armed Forces Flag Day will be observed on December 7 at 10 a.m. at the War Memorial located at the General Thimmaiah Museum (Sunnyside) near the District Government Hospital, at Madikeri.
Major General (Retd) K.C. Cariappa will lay a floral tribute at the memorial. Deputy Commissioner Venkat Raja and other dignitaries are scheduled to attend. Former servicemen, their families, and the general public are encouraged to participate in large numbers, said B.R. Shetty, Joint Director, Department of Sainik Welfare and Rehabilitation.
