A delegation of members from the Karnataka State Forest Department Wildlife Units Outsourced Daily Wage Employees Association, led by Chief Minister’s Legal Advisor and Virajpet MLA  Ajjikuttira S. Ponnanna, met Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre at his residence and submitted an appeal.

The delegation’s main demands included making daily wage employees who have completed ten years of service permanent, converting current daily wage employees into outsourced workers, and modifying the Finance Department’s circular related to their service conditions. The association also appealed for proper management of PF and ESI benefits for employees in wildlife units, recognition of service seniority, and insurance facilities. The long-pending Jamma Male issue in Kodagu was also discussed.

The Minister, who received the memorandum, assured the delegation that their demands would be considered sympathetically.

Honorary President A. M. Nagaraj and other office bearers of the Karnataka State Forest Department Units’ Daily Wage Outsourced Employees Association and the Regional Research and Social Karnataka Forest Development Organization were present on the occasion.
