The South Kodagu Christian Association organized a programme to felicitate MLA and Chief Minister’s Legal Advisor Ajjikuttira S. Ponnanna in recognition of his contributions to various sectors of society.
Speaking at the event held at Parimala Mangala Vihara Hall, Gonikoppa, the MLA said that the Christian community has been contributing significantly to education, social work, and other fields since ancient times. He expressed hope that the community, known for promoting peace and harmony, would continue to progress.
The MLA mentioned that during his tenure, he has sanctioned several crores of rupees for development works benefiting the Christian minority community through the Minority Welfare Department, his personal funds, and government grants. He urged members of the community to approach him for any assistance needed for their upliftment.
Along with the MLA, other dignitaries were also honoured. District Guarantee Implementation Committee Chairman Thithira Dharmaja Uthappa, South Kodagu Christian Association President A.J. Babu, religious leaders, Kanya Sri, and several community members and leaders participated in the function.
