Virajpet MLA and Chief Minister’s Legal Advisor A.S. Ponnanna recently submitted a memorandum to the Transport Minister regarding transport-related issues in the Virajpet constituency. The request included the concerns of the Kodagu District Auto Owners and Drivers Association, particularly regarding the issuance of district permits to all autorickshaws operating in Kodagu.

The MLA also sought the establishment of an Assistant Regional Transport Office in Virajpet, a Vehicle Inspection Camp in Ponnampet taluk, and a new depot in Virajpet.

Responding to the request, the Hon’ble Transport Minister instructed officials to take immediate action. The President and office bearers of the Kodagu District Auto Owners and Drivers Association were present on the occasion.
