Dr. Sahana of Madikeri has won the gold medal for Best Student in the MS (ENT) department of NITTE Medical College.

She is the daughter of former Legislative Council member M.P. Sunil Subramani and Indu, and the wife of Kalmadanda Dr. Mikhin Machayya, daughter-in-law of Kalmadanda Shashi Monnappa.
