Gonikoppal: KALS School hosted a district-level quiz competition that brought together 18 schools from across the district, providing students an opportunity to test their knowledge, quick thinking and teamwork.
The competition was conducted by Greycaps and featured renowned quizmasters Giri Subramanian, popularly known as Pickbrain, and Niharika Jain. Their engaging presentation and challenging questions kept the participants and audience engaged throughout the event.
The competition began with a preliminary round, from which six schools advanced to the finals. The finalists competed in a series of rounds covering history, geography, political science, sports and current affairs. The quiz went beyond testing factual recall, with participants required to make connections between different subjects, reason through questions and respond with speed and confidence. The audience’s enthusiastic participation added to the lively atmosphere, with the competition witnessing several closely contested and exciting rounds.
KALS School, Gonikoppal, emerged winners, with Mayank Muthanna and Nishan M.N. securing first place. Minal Machaiah and Aradhya M.M. of Lions High School, Gonikoppal, finished second, while Parshush Lin Chand and Vissmay H. of Udhgam School, Kushalnagar, secured third place.
The organisers appreciated the efforts of Nethravathi of the Social Science Department and Laila for coordinating with the participating schools and contributing to the successful conduct of the competition.
The event provided students with a platform to showcase their awareness, curiosity and presence of mind, while promoting the spirit of learning and healthy competition among schools in the district.
