The Madikeri Town Ex-Servicemen’s Association observed Kargil Vijay Diwas by paying homage to the martyrs of the Kargil War at the Amar Jawan Memorial located at the General K.S. Thimayya Memorial Hall.
On the occasion, ex-servicemen recalled the exemplary courage, patriotism and sacrifice displayed by Indian soldiers during the Kargil War 27 years ago.
The programme was held under the leadership of Association President Panikuttira Kuttappa. Among those who paid floral tributes at the memorial were Amry Canteen Senior Manager Lieutenant Colonel MulleraKaveriappa, Colonel Chondamma, Programme Coordinator P.K. Kuttappa, K.P. Muthanna, office-bearers and members of the association.
