Following good rainfall in the Harangi catchment area, additional water was released from the Harangi Reservoir into the river.
The reservoir is currently receiving an inflow of 4,000 cusecs of water, and an equal quantity of 4,000 cusecs was released downstream through the crest gates of the dam.
Prior to releasing the water, a special puja was performed at the reservoir in accordance with tradition.
Executive Engineer Mahesh, Assistant Executive Engineer Puttaswamy, Assistant Engineer Kiran Devaiah, and other officials were present during the release of water.
