The Morning Goodminton Team, under the leadership of its Founder-President Kukkera Jaya Chinnappa, successfully organised the ‘Monsoon Dhamaka’ Men’s Doubles Shuttle Badminton Tournament at the indoor stadium of the General Thimmaiah District Stadium.
A total of 14 doubles teams participated in the tournament, displaying impressive sportsmanship and competitive spirit throughout the event.
In the thrilling final, the pair of Dr. Karunakar and Hussain emerged as champions, while Chetan and Ayyan Gowda finished as runners-up.
The winners were presented with trophies and cash prizes. The tournament received an encouraging response from badminton enthusiasts and sports lovers.

The final match was inaugurated by Assistant Director of the Kodagu District Youth Empowerment and Sports Department, V.T. Vismay Chakravarthy, along with Founder-President Kukkera Jaya Chinnappa.
Addressing the gathering, V.T. Vismay Chakravarthy said that sports play a vital role in promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, discipline and a healthy lifestyle.
He congratulated the members of the Morning Goodminton Team for their commitment to playing badminton regularly and appreciated the organisation’s efforts in fostering a healthy sporting culture within the community.
Presiding over the function, Kukkera Jaya Chinnappa said that the objectives of the Morning Goodminton Team extend beyond sporting activities. Promoting a healthy lifestyle, friendship, harmony and strong social relationships are also among the team’s key goals.
He thanked the players, sponsors, volunteers and sports enthusiasts whose support contributed to the successful conduct of the tournament.

New Office-Bearers Elected : During he programme, the newly elected office-bearers of the Morning Goodminton Team were announced.
Shammi Subbaiah was elected as the new President, while Kukkera Jaya Chinnappa will continue as the Founder-President.
Dr. Karunakar and Captain Shetty were elected as Vice-Presidents, Kavi Prasad as Honorary Secretary, Satya Cheyyanda as Joint Secretary, Hussain as Treasurer and Rajinikanth as Joint Treasurer.
Speaking on the occasion, newly elected President Shammi Subbaiah said that efforts would be made to further strengthen the Morning Goodminton Team and encourage young sporting talent. He also expressed his commitment to organising more sporting events and social initiatives in the future.
