Morning Star Team Felicitates Five Youths Selected for Indian Army

Five youths trained by the Morning Star Team of Madikeri have been selected to the Indian Army under the Agniveer Scheme. A felicitation and farewell programmewasorganised in their honour.

The programme was held  recently at Hotel Samudra Hall in Madikeri under the chairmanship of team leader Suresh Rai. The selected candidates, S.V. Mokshit of Bhagamandala, D.H. Akash of Bhagamandala, H.R. Yashwant of Kudige, B.G. Harshit of Chembu and B.S. Tilak of Madikeri, were felicitated by the dignitaries with shawls and fruits.

Speaking as the chief guest,  Shareen said that the Morning Star Team, comprising people from various walks of life, has been doing commendable work by training youths aspiring to join the armed forces. She assured the team of her full support in all its future activities.

Another guest,  P Vasantha, said that the team had been formed by like-minded individuals with noble intentions. He expressed confidence that such sincere efforts would continue in the future.

Introducing the activities of the organisation, team leader and trainer Yogesh Shetty said that the Morning Star Team was established in 2019 and began providing daily training to youngsters interested in joining the Army.

He said that many youths have undergone training under the team and that 25 candidates have so far been recruited into the Indian Army.

He added that apart from youths from Madikeri, many candidates from rural areas are also participating enthusiastically. The team provides all necessary support during training and throughout the recruitment process, with members themselves actively participating in these efforts. He expressed confidence that the work would continue with the cooperation of all concerned.

Prominent citizens Vijay Kumar Shetty, Kapil, B.S. Aarti, Sharan, Nanjappa, Madhu and Suresh Mogaveera, along with the parents of the selected youths, were present on the occasion.

Yogesh Shetty offered the invocation, Sharath Kumar Shetty welcomed the gathering, Harshita Shetty compered the programme and Subrahmanya proposed the vote of thanks.
