The Kodagu District Vokkaligara Sangha has urged the Congress leadership to include Madikeri MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda in the State Cabinet and provide him with a ministerial berth. In a joint press release, District President S.M. Chagappa, Somwarpet Taluk President A.R. Muthanna and Kushalnagar Taluk President M.K. Dinesh stated that appointing Dr. Mantar Gowda as a minister would strengthen the administrative system in Kodagu district and inspire young people to actively participate in public service and politics.
The Sangha leaders noted that the Congress party has consistently encouraged young leadership and expressed confidence that Dr. Mantar Gowda would be considered for a ministerial position. They described Dr. Mantar Gowda as a popular and hardworking MLA who has been actively involved in the development of Madikeri constituency. They further stated that he has remained loyal to the party and has worked without encouraging factionalism.
According to the Sangha leaders, the country requires young and dynamic leadership capable of addressing public issues efficiently and accelerating development initiatives. They observed that D.K. The Sangha also stated that Dr. Mantar Gowda’s emergence as a prominent political leader has attracted considerable support from the youth, many of whom now identify closely with the Congress party.
They expressed the view that Dr. Mantar Gowda possesses the capability and experience required to serve effectively as a minister and that his inclusion in the Cabinet would contribute positively to the development of all communities in Kodagu while also strengthening the party organisation.
