Madikeri Native Dies After Lightning Strike in Mysore

Roshan Balakrishna (43), a resident of  Madikeri  staying near  Muneshwara Temple, died after being struck by lightning in Mysore.

He was the son of D. Balakrishna, who had served in the Excise Department. Roshan was employed as an IT professional and was working from home.

It is learnt that he had gone to inspect a piece of land in Mysore today. While standing on the property, he was struck by lightning and died on the spot.

    As a precaution it is said one should not stand below a tree or near a tall structure during lightening strikes
