With the objective of recognising and encouraging meritorious children of Karnataka state government employees, the Karnataka State Government Employees Association has invited applications for the annual ‘Pratibha Puraskar’ awards. Every year, the association honours more than 10,000 students across the state through the award programme. Accordingly, applications have now been invited from children of state government employees who have secured more than 90 percent marks in the 2026 SSLC and Second PUC examinations.
Only students who have scored above 90 percent marks are eligible to apply online. Applicants must have passed the 2026 SSLC or PUC examinations in their first attempt. The parents of the applicant must be permanent employees of the Karnataka State Government.
Applications must be submitted online through the website – powermedia.info   Applications should be uploaded in the prescribed format and duly certified by the District, Taluk or Planning Branch President of the Karnataka State Government Employees Association and members of the Bangalore City State Council.
Employees of corporations, boards, authorities, universities, private institutions and aided educational institutions are not eligible to apply.
The association clarified that applications without the student’s recent passport-size photograph, certified marks card, confirmation certificate from the head of the institution and branch association confirmation letter will not be considered. Applicants have been instructed to fill in all details completely in the online application form. May 25 has been fixed as the last date for submission of applications.
