Madikeri MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda has directed officials to initiate the construction of a new Gram Panchayat office building in K. Nidugane village of Madikeri taluk.

Speaking after inaugurating a Rs. 10-lakh concrete road leading to houses in the Nandimotte Jahangir Scheduled Caste Colony under K. Nidugane Gram Panchayat, he expressed concern that despite being one of the highest revenue-earning panchayats in the district, generating nearly Rs. 2.5 crore annually – it lacks a proper office building.

He instructed Panchayat Development Officer Abdullah to identify suitable land and prepare an action plan immediately. The MLA stated that funds would be provided from his MLA Local Area Development grant along with panchayat resources.

Local leaders and residents were present, and the MLA was felicitated by villagers for sanctioning grants.
