A 31-year-old man was killed in a road accident near Doddamma Thayi Temple in Kudumangaluru village when a goods vehicle collided with his motorcycle.
The deceased has been identified as Natesh of Marur village in Hebbale. His wife, Divya (30), who was riding pillion, sustained a fracture to her left leg.
According to sources, the accident occurred when the rider was reversing his motorcycle and was hit from behind by a goods vehicle. The injured were rushed to a private hospital in Kushalnagar, where Natesh succumbed to severe head injuries.
A case has been registered at the Kushalnagar Traffic Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
