Union Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has assured his participation in the final of the 26th Kodava Family Hockey Tournament organised by the Chenanda Kodava family, scheduled to be held on May 2 at Napoklu.
A delegation of the Chenanda Kodava Family Hockey Tournament Committee, led by Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Wadiyar, met the Union Minister in New Delhi and invited him to the tournament.
Responding positively, the Minister praised the successful organisation of the Kodava Family Hockey Tournament and assured all possible support for the promotion of traditional sports.
The delegation included Tournament Committee Chairman Karumbayya C.P., Executive Director Deena Chenanda, Vivek Poonacha, Brigadier C.N. Cheyanna, Dronacharya Awardee VishuKuttappa and others.
