Santvana Mahila Sahayavani Disposes of 5,657 Cases in Kodagu

The Santvana Mahila Sahayavani, launched by the Karnataka State Department of Women and Child Development at the Kodagu District Child Welfare Institute on November 4, has been providing immediate counselling and assistance to women facing distress across the district.

So far, 5,681 cases of various nature have been registered at the Santvana Kendra, of which 5,657 cases have been disposed of.

During the financial year 2025-26, a total of 262 cases were registered, 242 cases were resolved, and the remaining 24 cases are under process, including pending cases from the previous year.

An amount of Rs 3.75 lakh has been disbursed to beneficiaries through the Santvana Kendra and courts during the current financial year in connection with various cases.

Santvana Kendra President B.K. Ravindra Rai and General Secretary Namita R. Rai have urged women to make use of the helpline services. For assistance, the public may contact 9880985939, they said.
