The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at the General Thimmaiah District Stadium recently.
Kodagu District In-charge Minister and Minister for Minor Irrigation, Science and Technology N.S. Bhosaraju hoisted the national flag and called upon citizens to uphold constitutional values such as equality, liberty, and fraternity.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister highlighted the government’s welfare initiatives under the five guarantee schemes and detailed infrastructure and development projects undertaken in Kodagu district.
MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda presided over the function.Several dignitaries, including Kodagu Deputy Commissioner S.J. Somashekar, District Superintendent of Police Bindumani R.N., Zilla Panchayat CEO Anand Prakash Meena, and senior officials from various departments, elected representatives and members of the public attended the programme.
