The 127th birth anniversary of Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa was commemorated in Madikeri on Tuesday with solemn tributes and remembrance. Government officials, NCC cadets, scouts, schoolchildren, retired Army officers and other dignitaries took part in the programme to honour the life and legacy of the legendary military leader.
Paying tribute on X, President of the Indian National Congress Mallikarjun Kharge remembered Field Marshal Cariappa for his contribution to the nation and the Indian Armed Forces.
