Two first-year PUC students drowned while swimming in the Haradoor river near Suntikoppa village in Kushalnagar taluk.
The deceased have been identified as Maham Raheej (16) and Mohamad Nihal (16), residents of Pump House area, Suntikoppa, and students of Chenamma College, Madpur.
The incident occurred after they went swimming in the stream following college hours. Suntikoppa police visited the spot, and divers later recovered the bodies. The bodies were sent to Kushalnagar Hospital for post-mortem examination.
