Kuthanda P. Uthappa (90), a senior coffee grower from Kodagu, who worked in many organizations including Tata Coffee Company, Kodagu Planters Association, Kodava Vidya Nidhi, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan passed away in a private hospital in Mangalore.

Uthappa, who was settled in Polibetta, suddenly fell ill in Madikeri on 13 January 2026. He was then admitted to a private hospital in Mangalore for better treatment but on 14th January 2026 afternoon without responding to the treatment, he suddenly passed away.

Various organizations condole the sad demise of Kuthanda P. Uthappa.
