Chief Minister’s Legal Advisor and Virajpet MLA Ajjikuttira S. Ponnanna participated in the silver jubilee celebrations of Lamps Academy held in Ponnampet taluk of the Virajpet Assembly constituency.
On the occasion, MLA Ponnanna announced a five-year scholarship from his endowment fund for Mokshita, a meritorious student of the institution who secured 613 marks in the recent SSLC examination.
Mokshita hails from a financially disadvantaged family and resides in a line house.
Commending her determination and academic achievement despite economic hardships, the MLA expressed confidence that her future would be bright and assured that he would extend all possible support for her education in the coming years.
The MLA also felicitated the founders and principals of Lamps Academy in recognition of their contributions. Extending his best wishes on the silver jubilee celebrations, he stated that the academy has been rendering commendable service for several decades by providing quality education to children of the region.
He noted that many students who studied at the institution have earned a good name in society and expressed hope that the academy would continue to produce responsible and capable citizens for the nation.
State Sports Authority Vice President Cheppudira Arun Machaya, District Guarantee Implementation Committee President Tithira Dharmaja Uthappa, Ponnampet Block Congress President Mederira Naveen, Zone President Naveen, members of the management board, the school principal, staff members, and students were present on the occasion.
