The Coorg Rising Star of Kodagu Award was conferred on BeenaJagadish of Virajpet. She secured first place in the competition organised by the Coorg Carnival Organisation at Gandhi Maidan, Madikeri.
Around 54 contestants participated in the programme. After multiple rounds, 12 finalists were selected, among whom BeenaJagadish, representing VirajpetNisargaBarawan, emerged as the winner. The Carnival Award was presented by K.M.B. Ganesh of Madikeri.
