Members of the retired paramilitary soldiers’ union met Kodagu-Mysuru MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar and submitted a memorandum.

They highlighted that more than 4,000 serving and retired paramilitary personnel reside in Kodagu district, along with many widows of personnel, and several of their longstanding demands remain unresolved.

They requested establishment of a Paramilitary Development Corporation, financial support for construction of a building on land in Survey No. 10/2 at Karnangeri village, opening of a CGHS Wellness Centre in Madikeri and extension of ECHS facilities to retired paramilitary personnel.

The MP assured that he would write to the state government and pursue the matter with the Centre.
