Officers of the Mysuru and Kodagu Lokayukta conducted raids on the office and residences of D.M. Girish, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), Public Works Department, Kodagu, in connection with allegations of possessing disproportionate assets.
The raids were carried out under the direction of LokayuktaDySPDinakar Shetty, with Madikeri Lokayukta Inspector Veena Nayak and staff inspecting the PWD office, Girish’s official quarters in Madikeri, and his residence in Mysuru.

Officials seized several documents during searches conducted throughout the day.
According to Lokayukta officials, the following assets were found during the operation: Immovable assets worth Rs. 1,89,94,000 of four plots, Â One residential house, Cash amounting to Rs 5,53,715, Gold ornaments worth Rs 1,81,92,690, Vehicles worth Rs 9 lakh, Household articles and other items valued at Rs 40 lakh, In total, assets worth Rs 4,26,48,405 were identified.
A case has been registered at the Kodagu Lokayukta Police Station, and further legal proceedings are underway.
