M. Appanna Excels

The results one  of the  oldest golf tournaments in the district held on 12 November 2025 were formally announced, featuring competitions across multiple categories, including memorial tournaments and special prizes for senior golfers.

In the Rao Bahadur M.S. Mandanna Memorial Handicap Stableford (Maximum Handicap: 18),  Appanna C.M emerged as the winner with 38 points, while  Sundaram secured the runner-up position with 34 points.

The M.M. Appaiya Memorial Open Stableford saw a close contest, with  Ranjith K.P claiming first place with 25 points, followed closely by  I.K. Anil, who finished as runner-up with 24 points.

In the Special Prizes category, the event for Senior Golfers (above 70 years) was conducted over 9 holes on a full handicap basis. Col. Pratap Muthanna won this segment.

The tournament concluded with appreciation for all participants and recognition of the spirited competition across categories.

The matches were played at the well-maintained Tata Coffee Golf Course, and the award function was held at the Bamboo Club, Pollibetta.

The President of the Bamboo Club, Dr. Maneyapanda Chengappa, addressed the gathering, and Mrs. Mandepanda Vinita Ganapathy distributed the prizes.
