The Government First Grade Women’s College hosted its Cultural, Sports and Extracurricular Activities programme recently.
Inaugurating the event, Dr. Ramachandra Kamath, Professor and Head of the Medical Community Institute, urged students to utilise their talents at the right time and contribute meaningfully to society. He stressed the importance of developing leadership qualities.
C. G. Mandappa, Principal of D. Chennamma PU College, Madapura, said students must engage in extracurricular activities for holistic personality development. He reminded them that poverty should never be a barrier to education.

Literary scholar Koodakandi Omsree Dayananda, recipient of the 2025 Gouramma Dattinidhi Award, said every student possesses unique abilities, and good education and knowledge are essential to realise their potential. He emphasised that learning is a lifelong process. H. P. Nirmala, Principal of Government First Grade Women’s College, stressed the need for students to cultivate a positive attitude.
