Dhruva V. Bharadwaj and Achal Thenua, Class 9 students of Sainik School Kodagu, have brought pride to their institution by reaching the semi-final stage of the prestigious national-level Indian Navy quiz competition, “ThinQ-2025.” The event was held at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala.
The performance of these students reflected their sharp intelligence, teamwork, and strong competitive spirit. The students were felicitated and awarded by Vice Admiral Manish Chadha, AVSM, VSM, Commandant of the Indian Naval Academy. They also had the rare opportunity to meet and interact with Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, PVSM, AVSM, NM, Chief of the Indian Navy, who appreciated the curiosity and self-confidence of the two young achievers.

The students credited their success to the guidance and motivation of their science teacher, Dada Dhareppa Kusanale, whose encouragement helped them reach the national platform.
Speaking about the achievement, the school’s Principal, Colonel Amarjeet Singh, expressed immense joy and said that it was a proud moment for the entire Sainik School Kodagu fraternity. He stated that this accomplishment is a reflection of the students’ discipline, dedication, and the school’s focus on holistic development. He added that the institution continues to uphold its objective of instilling courage, curiosity, and loyalty in its students, while striving to build their character and capabilities. The Principal congratulated the students and staff for their exemplary performance.
