A team led by Election Commission of India Under Secretary Deep Mala visited Kodagu district and held a training and information-sharing programme with booth-level officials regarding the election process.The training programme was conducted at the District Collector’s Office auditorium in Madikeri.

The team comprised Under Secretary Deep Mala, Assistant Divisional Officers Jyotsana Miglani and Shubham Mishra, Section Officer Prince Rai, Assistant Section Officers Shri Javed Khan and Ankur Malik, Senior Section Officer Pradeep Kaur, Assistant Section Officer Ayushi Nayak and Junior Secretariat Assistant Mohammed Arshad. The team visited polling stations as part of their programme.

They explained that the initiative, titled “Visit to Unique/Remote Polling Stations of India,” is aimed at strengthening democratic participation in geographically challenging areas while also providing hands-on training to booth-level officials.

The team inspected polling stations in Karugunda, Kundachery and Kopatti. Additional District Commissioner R. Aishwarya, Assistnt Commissioner Nitin Chakki and other officials were present during the visit.
