After the Rain

Comments:

The clouds recede, yet linger still,
Their weight a mirror to my will.
The sun breaks through in muted flame,
A quiet light I cannot name.

The car rests still beside the green,
Its journeys paused, its metal clean.
I too am halted, breathed apart,
The rain has rinsed a restless heart.

Each droplet shines, a fleeting bead,
A lesson small in what I need:
That nothing clings, that all must go,
As rivers learn, as meadows know.

And in this calm, I find release—
Not in the road, but in the peace.
