The bandh called by the Somwarpet Taluk Raitha Horata Samithi against the C&D land survey issue recently received strong public support. On the occasion, constituency MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda had promised to bring the matter to the Chief Minister’s attention.
In this context, a delegation of Congress leaders met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Responding to their request, the Chief Minister assured that suitable action would be taken within the next ten days.
The delegation included Chief Minister’s Legal Advisor and Virajpet MLA A.S. Ponnanna, Madikeri MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda, District Congress President Dharmaja Uthappa, leaders K.P. Chandrakala, K.M. Lokesh, B.B. Sathish, V.P. Shishidhar, former MLC Veena Achaiah, Chetan, and others.
