Wild Elephant Attack Continues in Kodagu District

A wild elephant entered Injilagere village near Ammathi in Virajpet Taluk early in the morning and attacked a moving auto after emerging from a nearby coffee plantation.

Passenger Pradeep, a resident of Injilagere, was injured in the attack and admitted to Siddapur Hospital. The driver narrowly escaped the incident.

Local residents have urged the administration to take steps to control wild elephant intrusions. Forest Department officials and staff visited the site for inspection.
