Incentive for Government Schools that have Performed Well in Sports Events

The government has decided to identify government schools that have excelled in taluk, district, state, and national level sports events organized by the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, the Department of Education, and recognized sports organizations, and to provide an incentive of Rs. 1 lakh each to the selected schools.

From this grant, Rs. 10,000 will be given to the physical education teachers of the respective selected schools, and Rs. 90,000 will be given to the School SDMC for the purchase of necessary sports equipment

Accordingly, government schools in Kodagu district that have shown good performance in sports in the year 2024-25 will be selected, and a merit list along with the names and mobile numbers of the physical education teachers must be prepared and submitted to the office of the Assistant Director of the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports within a week. This is to facilitate the implementation of the Nammura School Namma Yuvajanaru project in Kodagu district.
