Kargil Vijay Diwas was marked in Madikeri by multiple organizations, including the Kodagu Hindu Jagarana Vedike and the Madikeri Ex-Servicemen’s Association, who paid floral tributes to Kargil martyrs at the city’s war memorial.
Major O.S. Chingappa, District Secretary and Advocate of the Ex-Servicemen’s Association, recalled the sacrifices of Indian soldiers who secured victory in the Kargil War.Former army officers, community leaders, patriots, and citizens turned out in large numbers. A blood donation camp was also held at the district hospital blood bank.
