Coorg Public School celebrated its 30th Investiture Ceremony recently in grandeur. The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Retired Commander Prasanna Edayilliam, a former officer in the Indian Navy’s Air Traffic Control.
The Principal , Dr M. Ramachandran administered the solemn oath to the newly appointed Prefects, House Captains, the Head Girl and the Head Boy.The Chief Guest presented the lapel pins to the council members, while the Principal handed over the School Flag to the head boy, Shan Appachu and the Mace to the Head girl,Srijani… In her inspiring address, Commander Prasanna reflected on her dream to wear the naval uniform – a path rarely chosen by women at the time. She encouraged students to believe in their abilities and move forward with grit as they take on their new roles and responsibilities. She also offered her willingness to guide the defence aspirants.
The President of the School Trust, Dhanya Subbaiah, in his address, emphasized the school’s continued dedication in fostering a strong sporting culture and physical education.
A key highlight of the ceremony was the release of the annual school magazine, “COPS Blossom”. The theme of imbibing values present in the 24 spokes of the Ashoka Chakra was highlighted through the vibrant cultural programme, featuring choirs, dances, the Wall Magazine and by the Masters of the Ceremony.
