KoIMS Ready for Covid-19 Cases: Dr. A.J. Lokesh Kumar

Dr. A.J. Lokesh Kumar, Dean and Director of the Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences (KoIMS), announced that a dedicated Covid-19 ward has been set up in the institute’s old building in anticipation of rising cases statewide.

A team of trained medical staff will be assigned to the ward. The institute has stockpiled 3,000 PPE kits and 20,000 masks. The Department of Health has issued operational guidelines during a recent video conference. Madikeri MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda has also reviewed the institute’s preparedness.
