Farmers in the village of Haisodlur are protesting the ongoing loss of their cattle due to repeated tiger attacks.
As a result of the lack of resolution to this issue, the Farmers’ Association has decided to blockade the forest office located in Ponnampet and stage a siege of the premises.
We understand that the forest department is presently engaged in efforts to persuade the protesters to cease their demonstration.
