Under the eco-friendly program, Sainik School, Kodagu NCC unit distributed paper covers made by school children to all the traders in the market at the vegetable market in Kudige.

The customers and traders who arrived at the market were made aware of the adverse effects of using plastic covers on the environment. In addition, all the customers and traders were requested to use paper covers in the coming days.

All these paper covers were prepared and distributed by the students of the school. A workshop was conducted for the children on the preparation of paper covers. The workshop was led by the first lady of the school, Divya Singh. In this workshop, the children prepared thousands of paper covers and realized the importance of paper covers in protecting the environment. In addition, they got a hands-on learning experience by making paper covers.

On this occasion, the school’s teachers Srilekha, Rajgolkar, Ashokan, Dada Kusnale, Nutan, Bhimambika, Salma, Subedar Baltir Singh, Avaldar Sumit Gundu and 75 students of the school were present.
