The third Additional District and Sessions Court sentenced a man named K K Rahim, who worked as a private jeep driveto three years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) for sexually harassing a minor girl.
It is reported that Rahim lured a Class 5 girl with chocolates and sexually harassed her on August 3, 2022, while dropping her home from school.
The girl’s father had filed a case against Rahim after learning about the incident.
Sub-Inspector P Mohan Raju conducted the investigation, arrested Rahim, and filed charges under the Indian Penal Code and the POCSO Act.
Judge CK Basavaraj sentenced Rahim to three years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 10,000. The court also ordered a compensation of Rs 1 lakh for the victim.
