Dr. Mantar Gowda, the MLA of Madikeri Assembly Constituency, recently launched five new Ashwamedha buses of KSRTC with KA.12 registration at the KSRTC Bus Stand, Madikeri.
Speaking on the occasion MLA informed that for the time being on the occasion of dasara festival these buses will ply in the inter-district routes and after that the bus will ply in Kodagu district.
During the recent visit of the transport minister Ramalingareddy to Shanivarsanthe, MLA requested Transport Minister that the KSRTC buses should have the regional transport registration number of Kodagu district. Responding to this Minister has fulfilled the demands and expressed his happiness and thanked the Minister
MLA further said that KSRTC buses will ply more in the district in the coming days and added that Shakti Yojana helped a lot for women. He also informed that five buses also got good registration numbers KA.12 F.01, 02, 03, 04, 05 has been registered.
