‘National Lok Adalat’ will be held on December 14,2024 on behalf of the State Legal Services Authority, District Legal Services Authority in all the courts at various levels of Kodagu district.

Rashtriya Lok Adalat is a golden opportunity for public to get instant redressal of their pre-litigation and pending court cases.

Pre-litigation cases: check invalidation cases, bank recovery cases, reinstatement cases, electricity and water charges, other cases (committable criminal cases, matrimonial cases and other civil cases) Karnataka Real Estate Authority cases, District Consumer Forum cases, debt recovery Adjudication Cases, Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission, Permanent People’s Court Cases.

Cases Pending in Court: Compromise Criminal Cases, Check Dishonor Cases, Bank Recovery Cases, Motor Accident Compensation Litigation Cases, Labor Disputes, Electricity and Water Charges, Matrimonial Cases, Land Acquisition Cases, Service Cases relating to Pay and Allowances and Pension Cases, Revenue Cases and Civil and other arbitrable cases.

Appropriate guidance will be given to both the parties to reach a compromise in the court. As the case is resolved to the agreement of both, the relationship remains and the dispute is settled.

Even the cases which are not registered in court are allowed to be settled through conciliation. Court fees paid to the court will be refunded in full if the cases are settled through conciliation.

A compromise can be reached only if the solution proposed by the negotiator is agreed upon. This is a unique opportunity for quick decision at low cost.

Daily pre-sittings regarding Lok Adalat in all courts of the state and Permanent Janata Courts are conducted through physical and video conference as per Hon’ble Supreme Court SOPs.
