A man named Shivaprakash was sentenced to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for sexually assaulting a minor girl by the principal district and sessions court recently. The court slapped a fine of Rs 20,000 on Shivaprakash, who had sexually assaulted a minor girl on March 8, 2022. The then inspector Muddumadeva had filed a charge sheet to the court. Judge Hosamani Pundalika ordered the district legal services authority to ensure a compensation of Rs four lakh to the survivor.
