Transport Minister T Ramalinga Reddy speaking to media persons in Shanivarasanthe recently expressed confidence that Chief Minister (CM) Siddaramaiah will complete his term.

Reddy said there was no need for anyone to talk about the change in leadership and added that a few senior ministers, and seven or eight party leaders have spoken about the change in leadership. They might have spoken in the context of the 2028 elections, he added.

Responding to a query, he meanwhile clarified that he would not contend for the chief minister’s post either now or after 2028.

When asked about the Enforcement Directorate (ED) naming former minister and Congress MLA from Ballari Rural B Nagendra as the first accused in the Valmiki Corporation scam, the Congress leader said, the entire country knew about ED.
