KV Madikeri Girls team win the state level rink hockey tournament

Girls team of Madikeri Kodagu Vidyalaya (KV) won the first place and boys team won second place in under 16 age group of CBSC schools state level rink hockey tournament held in Bangalore recently where 11 teams participated in boys’ and girls’ categories.

KV girls team led by the captain Jasmeen performed excellently in all the matches they played and won the title by defeating the Chinmaya Vidyalaya team of Bengaluru 6-3 in the final match.

The boys team led by captain Naman showed good performance in all the matches of the league level and in the final match Kodagu Vidyalaya was defeated by DPS. 7-2 goals and secured the second place.

Kodagu Vidyalaya’s boys and girls teams, which participated in the under-14 tournament, failed to win any places this time.  

Neetu Chaudhary and Naman of Kodagu Vidyalaya won the best player award of the tournament and Kodagu Vidyalaya hockey coach Dinesh won the best coach award on the occasion.
