Mahesh Nachaiah takes over as the new president of KKSA

Ajjinikanda Mahesh Nachaiah took office as the new president of Karnataka Kodava Sahitya Academy (KKSA) recently at the KKSA office in Madikeri. Registrar Ajjikuttira Girish handed over the order to the new president. 

Former presidents of KKSA, Biddatanda S. Thammaiah, Ammatanda Parvathi Appiah, Bacharaniyanda Appanna, District President of Kodagu Folk Parishad B.G. Anantashayanaand rest congratulated the new president. 

Before assuming charge, the president was welcomed into the auditorium by the singing of battepot by the Mukkodlu Valley Dew team.Balopat troupe sang praises to Kaveri Matha in Nellakki Nadubade. Later, Dinesh Beliappa of Chamera tied an okkane and made offerings in the name of God for the success of the President’s upcoming events. 

The President in his speech informed that after the appointment of all the members of the Academy a meeting will be called and will chalk out programmes and for the academy year and added that he wishes to promote the programs of the Academy at a high level with the cooperation of all members and races. 

Registrar A.C. Girishra briefed the gathering about the mission of the Academy. In the meeting, the former president of ZPKanthi Sathish, the president of Kushalanagar Kodava Samaj, Mandepanda Bose Monnappa, the founders of Kiggattnad senior citizens’ forum, Katimada Jimmy Annaiah, Dicky Annaiah Paruvanda Sunny Monnappa, Kenjangada Roshan Nanaiah, Hanchettira Manududappa, Chenanda Girish Poonachcha, Someyanda Bose Beliappa, M . Rekha Prakash, Ammanichanda Iswari Gangamma, Machimanda Meena Vasanth, Bacharanyanda Ranu Appanna and elders Lakshminarayana, Karnanda Bollamma Nanaiah, Acheyada Gagan, Baleyada Pratish, Kodagu Folk Parishad members Ambekallu Kushalappa and Sampath Kumar were present.
