A Jio SIM distributor in Madikeri has been arrested by the Kerala Police who was supplying SIMs to customers who were cheating peope online in various ways and looting lakhs of money. Abdul Roshan is the arrested accused. He was an Airtel SIM distributor from 2018 to 2023 and later became a Jio SIM distributor.
It has been reported that recently, a person from Kerala lost more than 1 crore to online fraudsters. When a case was registered and investigation was carried out the Kerala Police arrested Jio SIM distributor of Madikeri, Abdul Roshan, who fell into the trap of the police there.Â
About 150 Chinamade mobiles,over40000 SIMs and six biometric scanners were seized from him. Abdul Roshan, who was earning lakhs of money through this illegal business of supplying replacement SIMs to customers to online fraudsters. A criminal case has already been registered in Madikeri against Abdul Roshan.
The Kerala Police officers who cracked the fake SIM network case are collecting more information from the accused and informed that some more people are involved in this mega fraud illegal case.
