Madikeri residents got a break from scorching heat as heavy rains lashed the district headquarters recently. The first rains summer season brought down the temperature levels to some extent as it rained for about half an hour, with thunder and lightning.
Gonikoppa region also received good rains. Devarapura, Thithimathi, Atoor, Bhadragola, Aruvattokklu, Kaikari and surrounding regions too witnessed downpours. Nelyahudikeri, Karadigodu, Sidappura and neighboring areas received moderate rains.
