Karnataka Chief Minister (CM) Siddaramaiah after inaugurating the Janadhwani-2 mega election campaign held at Madikeri recently said that Indian Democracy is now under threat we all have to save it and to do so this Lok Sabha election is an opportunity for us to defeat BJP and ensuring the Congress’ victory. Chief Minister also said that danger to the Constitution means a threat to the lives and future of poor, the middle class, and the hard-working people of the country. 

Speaking further CM said that BJP, the saffron party which is anti-Constitutional and if it comes to power in the center it is planning to change the Constitution and a prominent BJP person has openly spoken on it, he added.

Siddaramaiah blamed RSS parivar for not participating in the freedom struggle against the British and added they are not patriotic.

He also informed that by implementing five guarantee schemes by Congress in Karnataka helped all the socially and economically poor people hailing from all class, castes and religions in the society. But where as Prime Minister Modi has not fulfilled the promises in the last 10 years of his governance.  

He also stated that congress party has fulfilled the promises and responded to the woes of people in the state and advised voters not to vote for those who misleads them and requested all to cast their valuable votes in favor of the Congress party to make India stronger.

Siddaramaiah blamed that JD(S) state president HD Kumaraswamy (HDK) for saying women are getting misguided due to the guarantee schemes and added that it shows HDK ‘s mindset towards women. 

On the occasion the CM also assured that the government is committed to provide whatever MLAs A S Ponnanna and Dr Manthar Gowda ask for the development of their constituencies in the district.

KPCC President and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, Ministers H C Mahadevappa, K Venkatesh, MLAs Ponnanna, Dr Manthar Gowda were present.
