A 25-year- old youth identified as Rasheed (25) from Irittydrowned in Chelavarawaterfalls at CheyandaneGram Panchayat (GP) limits recently.
Police sources said that the deceased Rasheed, Mohammed Shali and two young women had visited Chelavara waterfalls. The women were working in Kozhikode while two youths worked in Mattanur. When Rasheed entered the waters to bathe, he accidentally drowned. The body was retrieved by the fire service personnel subsequently.
