Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Kota Srinivas Poojary speaking during the installation ceremony of the Kodagu district IUP president and district special executive committee meeting of the party recently said that the upcoming elections will feature a battle between Hanuman and Tipu bhakts.

The MLC said that earlier terrorists would talk of dividing the Nation and added that now, a Member of the Parliament from Congress D K Suresh has spoken such a thing. I initially thought CM Siddaramaiah would take him to task but he has taken a soft stand on Suresh, he added.

Poojary said that the CM had told that he will accept the caste census by the backward classes’ commission headed by H Kantharaj. However, he extended the tenure of the commission overnight.

He said even Siddaramaiah, who had stated that he would not wear ’tilak’ and that Sri Rama is an imaginary person, has now raised the Jai Shree Ram’ slogan. This is the achievement of PM Narendra Modi, Kota added. Speaking to the reporters earlier, Poojary said “D K Suresh’s statement reflects the Congress culture. While Rahul Gandhi is saying “Bharat Jodo’, his party leaders are up to dividing the Nation. Congress never joins. Its policy is to divide,” he added.
